Chicago Cemetery Bike Ride 2026 | Igor Does My Bike

2 min read

Spooky season is better on a bike.

Join Igor Does My Bike in Edgewater on Sunday, October 25, 2026 for our Second Annual Cemetery Ride, a free, family-friendly Chicago group bike ride through three of the North Side's historic cemeteries.

We'll meet at Igor Does My Bike, 5454 N. Broadway in Chicago, at 1:00 PM and roll out at 1:30 PM sharp.

The ride is about 6 miles, beginner-friendly, family-friendly, and no-drop, making it a great Chicago bike ride for newer cyclists, families with kids, and experienced riders who just want to slow down and enjoy a fall afternoon.

Bring the kids. Bring your neighbor. Bring that friend who keeps saying they want to ride their bike more.

A Chicago Cemetery Bike Ride Through St. Boniface, Graceland & Rosehill 👻

We're bringing back last year's route because, well, it's a good one.

Our cemetery bike ride will take us from Igor Does My Bike in Edgewater through three historic Chicago cemeteries:

St. Boniface Cemetery → Graceland Cemetery → Rosehill Cemetery

While biking in the cemetery is generally not allowed, we have received special permission to roll through all three. We'll make stops along the way, ending by paying our respects to Ignaz Schwinn, founder of the Schwinn Bicycle Company, who is resting at the Rosehill Cemetery.

Because if you're going to visit a famous Chicagoan's grave on a bike ride, the founder of Schwinn feels pretty appropriate.

Is This Ride Beginner & Family Friendly?

Absolutely.

This isn't a race, and you don't need to be a serious cyclist to join us. We'll ride at a chill, beginner-friendly pace, stay together as a group, and nobody gets left behind.

The entire route is approximately 6 miles, making this a great option for families and riders who are newer to Chicago group rides or who just want to join a fun, relaxed ride.
